What we collect on this site

The quote form on /contact:

  • Name and work email (required)
  • Company, phone
  • Hazard class (Class I, Division 1; Class I, Division 2; other; or not sure)
  • Fixture type, quantity, project timing
  • Application details
  • The page you sent it from, the time, and — for spam control — the network address of the post

The hazard class you pick is how you describe the application. It is not a classification of the room by JLX.

No login on getjlx.com. Buying online leaves this site (see checkout).

What we do with a quote

A project request is a request for help specifying and sourcing a fixture. A person at JLX uses it to get back to you. We may keep it in a customer database so the quote and the order match.

We keep this information as long as we need it to quote and support you.

There is no newsletter form on getjlx.com today. If you ask for product updates, or we add a mailing-list platform, unsubscribe by emailing info@getjl.com until one-click unsubscribe exists, then use that.

We do not sell this information.

Who else sees a quote

The form posts to getjlx.com.

  • Our email delivery provider sends the message.
  • Our workspace email is the mailbox (info@getjl.com).
  • Our hosting provider runs the site and the form routes. Submissions are also written to the server log.

Checkout (Shopify)

If you add a fixture to the cart on getjlx.com, you are sent to Shopify checkout. Shopify processes payment, shipping address, billing address, and order email under Shopify’s own privacy policy: https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy

We do not restate Shopify’s policy here. The store’s own policy pages are the merchant-side copy for that checkout.

Shopify checkout currently includes an “email me with news and offers” box. If you leave it checked, that address may be used for product updates from JLX. When a mailing-list platform is in place, you get one-click unsubscribe.

What runs on getjlx.com today — and what we may add

Today getjlx.com does not load analytics, a tag manager, or advertising pixels. Shopify checkout is Shopify’s page and may use Shopify’s own cookies and pixels — that is their property, not this site’s script graph.

We may use analytics, advertising pixels, and a mailing-list platform on getjlx.com. When we do, they handle the information on this page plus the technical data those tools collect (pages viewed, device, a cookie or pixel identifier). We do not set analytics or advertising cookies on getjlx.com today. The host may set a strictly technical cookie to serve the page.

Other sites

Spec sheets, IES files, the 2019 catalog, and YouTube embeds leave this site when you open them. Playing a video is YouTube’s terms.

Your choices

Email info@getjl.com to correct a quote, delete a submission we still have, or stop product-update email. For a paid Shopify order, use the contact on that order and info@getjl.com.
